Ferragosto--Vacation Time in Italy

YSA Activities

Alberto & Janus
We had a fun YSA Family Home Evening. The lesson was given by Janus (an almost 18-year-old Filipino) who hopes to go on a mission soon. He gave a great lesson on treating the scriptures with respect.

Making New Friends

Wednesday evening, we were invited to the home of Alessandro and Clariele Rodriguez, a friend of Ilonka from the Dominican Republic. Alessandro was born and raised in Rome and met Clariele when he was vacationing in the Dominican Republic. They have two cute children. They cooked a fabulous meal with many different kinds of seafood! It was a typical Italian three-course meal: Fish sauce on Pasta, Fish Kabobs, Shrimp, and ocean fish for the main dish. I wish I knew the names of all the different types of seafood because they were delicious—Alessandro cooked the fish on the barbecue. An older couple who have been like grandparents to their children and used to lived next door came over, and we had some gelato with them for dessert. It was a great evening!
