Elder & Sister Millet
We had
dinner with Elder Michael and Sister Dixie Millet from Pleasant Grove. Their
home is about a block and a half away from Allie and Shirl Tomlinson in Lindon. Sister
Millet made a delicious meal, and Sister Andrew brought strawberry cheesecake! After
dinner we played Five Crowns and Dominoes. What fun! They are working with the
Young Single Adults in the Roma 2nd Ward, so we will get to see more of them!

Elder Allen & Brother Lusvardi
Tri-Zone Training
We had
a special tri-zone training at the mission office. Elder Stephen B. Allen, Managing Director of the Missionary Department for the
church who helped to put together Preach My Gospel, and Brother Mark Lusvardi, Director of Church Visitor
Centers who works for the Missionary department. Elder Allen was in
charge of making the videos of “The District.”
They did any amazing job in motivating the missionaries and gave some
great tools for being successful as missionaries. Elder Allen had been
President Waddoups Stake President in Utah, so we were lucky to be able to have
them come and speak while they were in Rome getting things ready for the Rome Visitors’
Center.

Andrews with Elder Hatch
We also met Elder Hatch for the first time in Italy (he comes from Allie and Tricia’s ward). He is now serving in Caserta near Naples, so his zone was here for the training.

Institute Fun!
We started our Institute class an hour earlier so that we could have a dance afterward. It was very well attended with 20 YSA! They had music and played a fun game of Twister!

Luca with parents
We attended the baptism of Luca Colasante. He met the sister missionaries on a bus, and they talked to him and gave him a pamphlet. He said thanks but wasn’t interested. When he got home, he read the pamphlet and then called the sisters and told them he wanted to know more. He is only 17 and when we met him the first time, he asked some insightful questions—we could tell he was a deep thinker. He plays the guitar in a band, and they performed at a ward talent show a couple of weeks ago. His parents came to his baptism and were very supportive—great people! He will be a great addition to the young single adults!
