In Rome at Last!

What an exciting time we have had the past 48 hours. We arrived in Rome Saturday (the 25th of May).  After we were picked up by the Assistants to the president, Elder Bird and Stewart, we were able to go by the new LDS Temple site on our way to meet Mission President Kelly and his wife.  Sister Kelly had a great lunch prepared, and we enjoyed visiting with the Kellys and the office couple, the Steurers.

Four of the Italian sisters came by our apartment with a welcome sign and treat for us. They were so cute! I can tell we are going to love working with them. We attended the Roma 2 Ward on Sunday. In the future we will attend the Roma 3 Ward. We meet with the other Senior couple, the Kimballs, tomorrow and begin our work with the Young Single adults. We can't wait!

Our Mission Begins!

Monday, May 13, we arrived in Provo at the MTC.

We were introduced to our district (see photo below): Elder & Sister Andrew, Elder & Sister Houskeeper, & Elder and Sister Durrant, and one of our morning teachers Brother Barney (sitting in front). Our other teacher Sister Bateman left early.

In the afternoons we had Brother Keddington as our teacher.
