October Comes to an End

Time Flies

It seems we just turned the page on our Calendar to October, and it is already the 27th! Where did the month go? We turned our clocks back THIS week—strange we are ahead of the U.S. by a week?

Good Friend to Airport

Ranny Lacar goes to Philippines
On Tuesday, we gave Ranny Lacar a ride to the airport to catch a plane to Manila. His wife had surgery that day for a stroke she suffered. He let us know that he arrived, and his wife’s operation went well. He hopes she will be able to come home this week. It is a blessing that he can be home with his family.

Capi Conference

Thursday, we prepared some chicken in the crockpot for a Café Rio-style dinner at the mission home that evening. Sister Waddoups asked us to help as we had done a similar dinner for the YSA. Zone Leaders and Sister Training Leaders of the whole mission attended—about 35 missionaries. By the time we served the food and cleaned up the kitchen, it was late—but the missionaries loved it!

Another Italian Missionary

Friday Evening, we attended a fun Young Single Adult Festa for Denise DeFeo who is leaving on a mission tomorrow to Leone, France. She will be an amazing missionary!
